Attention should be given to develop effective mechanism to check tax evasion – CM Dhami

On Thursday, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami reviewed with the high officials of the government regarding the possibilities of investment as well as promoting the income resources of the state in the secretariat. The Chief Minister directed that concerted efforts should be made to increase the revenue resources of the state along with increasing the tax collection of GST in the state. Emphasizing on the need to develop an effective mechanism to check tax evasion, the Chief Minister asked for making arrangements for linking the beneficiaries of the schemes run by the State Government with the Aadhar card. He directed to make procurement through GeM and to give wide publicity to the single window system and to prepare an effective action plan for the establishment of land banks.
The Chief Minister said that efforts should be made to increase the GST sector-wise, more and more people should be motivated to file returns and all people can make a habit of taking receipt of purchase material, for this, attention should also be paid to making arrangements for customer incentive scheme. He told me the need to go. He also asked to focus on the strength of the enforcement and intelligence systems and the strength of the IT team. For this help from ITDA can also be taken. He also directed to make the audit wing effective to check tax evasion.

The Chief Minister said that with better work culture and taking corrective steps in the working system, all departments can become helpful in boosting the resources of income. For this, he also stressed on the implementation of policies related to the interest of the state.

The Chief Minister directed Principal Secretary R.K. Sudhanshu to prepare an action plan for effective implementation of single window system and establishment of land bank. The Chief Minister said that if a large number of big hotels are set up in the state, it would be a big step in boosting the tourism business and strengthening the economy of the state.
The Chief Minister said that the environment of the state is conducive to industries, there is no labor dissatisfaction here. Better law and order can pave the way for investment in the state. Initiatives have to be taken in this direction also. The Chief Minister also talked about holding regular meetings of Udyog Mitra to promote industries under MSME sector.
