Police Rankers Recruitment: Preparations to give relief to those who pass hard in Uttarakhand, CM Dhami gave instructions

admin September 12, 2022

Around 10,500 policemen had participated in the rankers recruitment exam. The results were released in March this year. 1350 candidates had found place in the merit for Head Constable and 650 for Daroga.
The government will give relief to those who pass hard in the recruitment of police rankers. Police Headquarters had uploaded the result of this examination on the website. Technically the result of this exam has also been declared. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has given instructions to review this examination also. Its report has been sought from the Uttarakhand Subordinate Services Selection Commission.
The Subordinate Services Selection Commission had conducted the examination in February 2021 for Constable to Head Constable, Head Constable to Sub Inspector (Droga) in Police. The commission had released the result of the examination, but despite writing correct answers to four questions, five candidates had filed a petition in the High Court for being wrong on the part of the commission.
The High Court had stayed the result. After the hearing was over, on July 11, the High Court lifted the ban on the rankers examination. After this the commission was not able to release its revised result. Last week, the government had canceled five recruitments, including rankers recruitment. The candidates provided complete information about the result of this examination to the government.

Now Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has instructed Secretary Personnel Shailesh Bagoli to take a decision on this examination. At the government level, the Subordinate Services Selection Commission has been asked to review the matter and submit a report. Based on the report, the rankers recruitment will be decided.

10,500 policemen took the exam:

The exam was conducted for 394 posts of Head Constable, 61 of Daroga Civil Police, 77 of PAC Sub Inspector, 250 of PAC Head Constable and 215 posts of Head Constable in Armed Police Forces. Out of these, the head constable has got promotion.
Strengthen the commission and selection institutions

Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has directed Chief Secretary Dr. SS Sandhu to ensure that the selection process is transparent and fair in future so that eligible youth can be selected. He also directed to make Uttarakhand Public Service Commission and other selection agencies strong and transparent in this regard.

Separate Decisions on Vacancies with Declared Result:
The Chief Minister directed the Chief Secretary to the Secretary Personnel to take a case to case decision on the Subordinate Services Selection Commission’s examinations whose results have been declared but the final selection list has not been sent yet. Uttarakhand Public Service Commission will now be responsible for such examinations, in which the selection commission had invited applications but the examination did not take place.
