Chief Minister engaged on the front of empowering Uttarakhand by 2025, said- Departments should be engaged in achieving the development target

To fulfill the resolution of making Uttarakhand strong by the year 2025, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami took charge from Saturday, the first day of the new financial year. The Chief Minister said that there would be regular review of targets given to the departments for the overall development of the state.
To promote tourism in the state, five lakh people will get direct and indirect employment by the year 2030 through various activity-based works. The Chief Minister instructed to pay special attention to developing new tourist and religious places and providing infrastructure facilities.
Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami reviewed the implementation of the department-wise action plan prepared to empower Uttarakhand by the year 2025 at the Secretariat on Saturday.
He said that the departments will have to speed up the future action plan along with working on the ground to fulfill the set target. All the departmental heads will complete the development target in the next two years. Long-term and short-term action plans should be implemented with full dedication.

Departmental action plan will be reviewed:
The Chief Minister said that the new financial year has started. Action plans, targets and efforts being made for revenue growth of all the departments will be reviewed at the earliest till March 31, 2024.
To increase income in hilly districts, focus will have to be on improving the livelihood of the local residents. This has to be accelerated sector-wise. Priority should be given to areas with revenue growth. Work should be done on the objective of achieving the achievements by the year 2025.

Employment prospects in tourism, agriculture, horticulture:
Dhami said that the field of tourism, agriculture, horticulture and industry is full of possibilities. Due to better work in these areas by the year 2030, employment opportunities will increase and the GDP of the state will increase rapidly.
He said that new tourist and religious places should be developed in the Kumaon region, so that the devotees coming on Chardham Yatra can enjoy the natural beauty of Kumaon along with Garhwal. He gave instructions to connect the state through various circuits from the point of view of tourism.
Income of 30 thousand farmers will increase by 10 times:
It was told in the presentation in the meeting that a comprehensive action plan is being worked out for the arrival of one crore tourists and pilgrims in the state every year. Along with developing new tourist and religious places in the state, special attention will be paid to the development of infrastructure facilities.
Home stay will be promoted rapidly. To increase the productivity of apple by 2030, the government has set a target of making an additional investment of 1500 to 2000 crores. Due to this, the GDP is estimated to increase by 2500 crores. Along with this, a target has been set to increase the income of about 30 thousand farmers by 10 times.
Work on apple and kiwi mission:
The Chief Minister expressed the need for more efforts to promote the local products of the State. Provided branding and marketing of products. Stressed on expeditious work on apple and kiwi mission and promotion of cultivation of aromatic plants in hilly areas.
He asked to conduct diploma courses related to skill development in addition to degree courses in higher educational institutions. Instructions were given to simplify policies to increase economic activities in the state.
The meeting was attended by Chief Secretary Dr SS Sandhu, Additional Chief Secretary Radha Raturi, Anand Baddhan, Secretary R Meenakshi Sundaram, Shailesh Bagoli, Dr Pankaj Kumar Pandey, Vijay Kumar Yadav, SN Pandey, UCAST Director General Prof Durgesh Pant, McKenzie Senior Partner Amit Kher, Abhishek Bavel and other representatives were present.
