Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami reached Delhi on Sunday. He will meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday. This is the first meeting of the Chief Minister with the Prime Minister after completion of one year of his second term.
During this, he will present the roadmap prepared to empower Uttarakhand before the Prime Minister. It is also believed that he can also give the Prime Minister the details of the steps taken to make the Chardham Yatra safe, smooth and well organized, which is going to start from April 22.
Apart from increasing the relief package for the treatment and rehabilitation of the affected people of Joshimath city, an important stop of Badrinath Dham, which is facing the disaster of landslide, the Chief Minister can also request for its early release.
Schedule for meeting with Prime Minister Modi:
Chief Minister Dhami left for Delhi from Dehradun on Sunday afternoon and reached Uttarakhand Sadan. He is scheduled to meet Prime Minister Modi on Monday morning. This meeting of his is being considered very important.
It is discussed that along with the steps taken by the government for the development of the state, the provisions made in the budget of the current financial year, he will give information about various subjects related to the state. Not only this, there is a possibility of discussion regarding the organizational and political scenario.
The government has set a target of including Uttarakhand among the leading states of the country by the year 2025. In this sequence, the Chief Minister can also request for approval of some new centrally funded schemes for the state.
Extension of rail services can be requested:
The Chief Minister is also scheduled to meet Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav on Monday itself. It is believed that he can request for the expansion of rail services in the state. Along with this, in view of Chardham Yatra, emphasis can also be given on operating special trains from other states for Uttarakhand. Chief Minister Dhami will also meet Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman in Delhi.
