Uploading an unrestrained video of rhetoric against Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami in the internet media cost a person dearly. The police issued a notice to the first accused. Even after this, for not deleting the video, a case has been registered against the accused under various sections including the IT Act.
Vinod had to bear the brunt of uploading a video against the CM:
Vinod Tiwari, a resident of village Chan Post Dhamas of Almora, had uploaded a video of CM Dhami’s slippery tongue making fun of CM Dhami on June 3. The police had earlier also instructed Vinod not to harm the personal reputation of the state government and the chief minister by uploading unnecessary videos. On June 5, the Kotwali police had got a notice served. Even after this Vinod uploaded the video again. In view of the apprehension of resentment among the people, the police registered a case against the accused Vinod under sections 469, 505 Bhadavi and 74 IT Act.
The accused said that the constitution has given the right to freedom of expression:
Advocate Vinod Tiwari told that the constitution has given him the right to freedom of expression. Such videos are littered in the internet media. He said that if anyone had any objection to this video, he would have told that he would have removed the video from the internet media. The notice that came from the police was replied to. He himself will challenge against this action. Tiwari continues to fight for social issues. He is also the head of the National Policy Organization.
Almora SSI Satish Chandra Kapri said that notice was earlier given to the concerned on uploading the video, now a case has been registered and investigation has been started.
