A case of online conversion of a youth has come to light in Doiwala area of Dehradun. Belonging to a Brahmin family, this young man has been offering Namaz for the last four years. He has written verses from the Quran on the walls of his room.
Father attacked for stopping him from offering Namaz:
It is being told that this change in the young man came after joining a Pakistani YouTuber, who is a motivator. After this, the young man started living disconnected from the family. He locks himself in his room most of the time. The matter came to light when he attacked his father for stopping him from offering Namaz.
After this the victim’s father approached the police. The matter of association of the youth with some Islamic organizations is also coming to the fore. In view of this, the police has taken him into custody. Taking possession of his mobile and laptop, it is being investigated whether he has any contact with Pakistan or any other country.

Police say that the medical examination of the youth will also be done. Krishan Kumar Bijlwan, a resident of Bullawala area of Doiwala, is retired from a private company. He told in the complaint letter to the police that his 24-year-old son Vaibhav follows a Pakistani YouTube channel named Abdul Qadir since the year 2019. After joining this channel, there was a sudden change in his behavior.
He started telling Islam as his religion and started offering Namaz. For the last four years, he keeps himself locked in the room most of the time at home. During this most of the time is spent on laptop and mobile. He comes out of the room only for routine and food etc.
Get into a fight on explaining:
He is outspoken about the Muslim religion and on being persuaded, gets into a fight. Seeing these activities of Vaibhav increasing, two days ago the father felt that his mental balance had deteriorated. On being told to show the doctor, he started beating the father.
After this, the father reached the Doiwala police station and narrated the whole story to the police. Vaibhav, who has done polytechnic, is a diploma holder in IT. Apart from his parents, he is survived by three sisters. He went missing in the year 2021. Then the father had registered his missing, but only a day later he himself came home.
According to the police, he was involved in cryptocurrency transactions. Doiwala police station in-charge Inspector Rajesh Sah told that the youth has been brought for questioning. His laptop and mobile are being scrutinized. From this it will be known that with whom he was in contact.
