In a virtual meeting of the Directorate of Marketing and Inspection (DMI) of the Government of India, instructions were given to timely release the arrival and market prices of agricultural products on the Agmark portal. Also directed to issue unified license for interstate trade.
In the meeting, Deputy General Manager of the Marketing Board, Vijay Thapliyal said that with the release of rates on the Agmark portal, the farmers would be able to get timely information about the prices of the products in the market. During this, he instructed to register Farmer Producer Union organizations on the e-portal. This will give maximum boost to trading.
Availability of information on e-portal will facilitate
Thapliyal said that due to the availability of information on the e-portal, farmers would be able to get market at the state as well as the interstate level. During this, a unified license was issued to a trader from Jharkhand by the Agricultural Production and Marketing Board, Dehradun.
Market Secretary PR Kalakoti, Ashok Joshi, Nandini Uniyal, Pankaj Raj Shah, Ajay Dabral, Kuldeep Nautiyal, Rajveer Singh etc were present on this occasion.
