There is a campaign to stop migration from the village
It is well known that the way the issue of climate change has arisen in the world, perhaps it becomes very important that how do we stop migration from villages and along with it create such employment based on potential resources which can directly benefit the villages. . The youth should be able to take advantage of all the facilities that urban people enjoy.
Campaign to connect youth with research
This MoU is also important because in this UPES has established an institute named HILL in its own campus, the main objective of which is to promote research related to the Himalayas. Along with this, we have to participate on policies towards such works which will be useful in the conservation of the Himalayas. HESCO will have equal participation in this. Besides, this initiative to connect youth with research will be unique in itself, in which there is a provision for fellowship.
Emphasis will be given to new discoveries for the Himalayas
With this MoU, senior scientists of HESCO will get respect and UPES has also decided to give them the status of Honorary Professor. It is an agreement between a voluntary organization and an academic organization. Both the institutions will make new discoveries for the Himalayas and also decide its development policies in the coming times. The research work will focus on the economy of Uttarakhand and especially those issues which have become the subject of biggest discussion in the country and the world will be more important.
