CM Dhami’s focus on drug free Uttarakhand, this target has to be accomplished by 2025

admin December 20, 2023

Making Uttarakhand drug free is now the first priority of the government. Chief Minister of the state Pushkar Singh Dhami himself said that the government’s goal is to make the state drug free by 2025. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said that rapid efforts should be made to make Uttarakhand a drug-free state by 2025.
CM Dhami said that taking this campaign in mission mode, awareness campaigns should be run continuously. Health departments, educational institutions and organizations working for de-addiction should also be linked to this campaign. He also directed to make Uttarakhand a model state and quickly implement the proposals made in the investor conference.

Focus on making Uttarakhand a good governance model state
Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami held a high level meeting at the Chief Minister’s residence on Monday. He directed the officials to make effective efforts towards making Uttarakhand a good governance model state. He said that the agreement reached during the Global Investors Conference should be implemented rapidly.

A comprehensive campaign will be launched in 2024
The Chief Minister said that a large-scale campaign should be launched by March 2024 to make the state a drug-free state. Along with making students aware about the ill effects of drugs in educational institutions, their parents should also be associated with this campaign. He instructed Secretary ITDA Shailesh Bagoli that more and more services should be made online. All departments should dispose of files in a timely manner. So that the general public can easily avail the benefits of online services, information about the same should be given through departments in all the districts. Responsibility should be fixed for the officers who stop the files.

CM gave these instructions
CM Dhami said that in view of public convenience, more and more services should be added on the Apuni government portal. Special care should be taken to ensure that the common people get maximum services at their homes. He said that regarding the agreements reached during the Global Investors Conference, care should be taken that investors do not have to face problems. For this, the single window system should be made stronger. Investment proposals which have the potential to increase employment opportunities in the state should be kept on priority.

These people attended the meeting
Additional Chief Secretary Radha Raturi, In-charge Director General of Police Abhinav Kumar, Secretary R Meenakshi Sundaram, Additional Director General of Police AP Ashman, Director General Information Banshidhar Tiwari and Additional Secretary JC Kandpal were present in the meeting.
