Char Dham Yatra started with the opening of doors of Kedarnath, Gangotri and Yamunotri Dham. The doors of all the three Dhams were opened with rituals amid the cheers of thousands of devotees who arrived on Friday. About 45 thousand devotees visited on the first day.
30 thousand devotees have created a new record by visiting Kedarnath Dham. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, who reached Kedarnath Dham, offered prayers for the happiness and prosperity of the countrymen in the name of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. With the commencement of Chardham Yatra, the registration figure has crossed 23 lakhs. More than eight lakh devotees have registered for Kedarnath Dham. According to the information released by the Tourism Department, till 4 pm on Friday, 23 lakh 57 thousand 393 registrations were made for Chardham Yatra. These include maximum 8 lakh 7 thousand 90 registrations for Kedarnath, 7 lakh 10 thousand 192 for Badrinath Dham, 3 lakh 68 thousand 302 for Yamunotri and 4 lakh 21 thousand 205 for Gangotri. At the same time, this time also for Hemkund Sahib, 50 thousand 604 registrations have been done so far. The process of registration is going on. With the opening of the doors of Kedarnath, Gangotri and Yamunotri Dham, there is a fight regarding registration.
With the opening of the doors of the main Kedarnath Dham in Panchkedar, a new chapter has been added to the journey. On Friday, 29030 devotees had darshan of Baba Kedar at the inauguration of the temple. This is the first time in history that such a large number of devotees visited on the occasion of the inauguration. Shri Badrinath-Kedarnath Temple Committee Executive Officer Ramesh Chandra Tiwari said that this achievement has added a new chapter to the Yatra. The way the enthusiasm was seen from the devotees on the first day, it is expected that the number of devotees may increase even more in the coming days.
