Weather Update: Mild cold is being felt in Doon in the morning and evening, but due to bright sunshine throughout the day, there is mild warmth during the day. The maximum and minimum temperature of Doon is also higher than normal. In Almora, the weather changed in the district headquarters and surrounding areas after noon. There was movement of clouds along with cold wind. The maximum temperature was recorded at 24.5 and the minimum temperature was 12.3 degrees Celsius.
People trapped in warm clothes due to change in weather
Due to change in weather, people were forced to wear warm clothes. The weather has started changing in the mountains from the first week of November. In the morning, there was fog in the valley areas around the district headquarters. At the same time, movement of clouds started in the sky after noon. At the same time, cold wind also kept blowing. Due to change in weather, people had to resort to sweaters and jackets etc. to avoid the cold. Due to fluctuations in the weather, diseases like cold, cough, respiratory diseases and joint pain are increasing. Seeing the weather, people from rural areas reached the market in less numbers. Due to this, the market was less lively as compared to other days. Last day, the maximum temperature of Almora was recorded at 25 and the minimum temperature was 12.5 degree Celsius.
Heavy rain in Bageshwar
The weather has changed in Bageshwar on Monday afternoon. There was heavy rain in Kapkot and Dugnakuri. Along with hailstorm, the first light snowfall of the season has occurred in Pindari Glacier Zero Point. Due to which there is a strong possibility of increase in cold in the coming days. There was fog in the morning. Light sunshine came out after 10 o’clock. After noon, there were clouds. There was rain and hailstorm in the high Himalayan villages of Kapkot. The cold has increased due to rain in many villages of Dugnakuri tehsil.
Snow showers at Zero Point
Khati resident Yamu Singh said that light snow showers have fallen at Pindari Zero Point. After which the weather has become pleasant. Here, in other parts of the district, there was a game of sun and shade. There was mild humidity during the day. The evening has started getting cold. On the other hand, District Disaster Officer Shikha Suyal said that according to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of rain.
