Reservations have started for the special reserved train running from Doon to Phaphamau (near Prayagraj) railway station for the Maha Kumbh Mela starting from February 13 in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh. 1200 passengers will be able to travel at a time in this train which will make six trips (round trip) from Doon to Phaphamau in January and February. The train will have two general, 12 sleeper and one coach each of AC III and AC II.
In fact, the important festival of Hindu religion, Maha Kumbh Mela, which is organized every 12 years, is being organized in Prayagraj this time. Northern Railway Division has started a special reserved train Doon-Phaphamau Express (train number 04316/04315) to bring the people of Doon to the Maha Kumbh Mela. This train will depart from Dehradun railway station on 18, 21, 24 January and 9, 16, 23 February at 8:10 am and will reach Phaphamau at 11:30 pm via Haridwar, Najibabad, Moradabad, Bareilly, Lucknow, Raebareli. At the same time, this train will return from Phaphamau railway station on 19, 22, 25 January and 10, 17, 24 February at 6:30 am and will reach Dehradun at 9:30 pm.
The journey back to Doon will be of 15 hours
The journey from Doon to Phaphamau will be of 15 hours 40 minutes and the return journey from Phaphamau to Doon will be of only 15 hours. The average speed of the train from Dehradun will be 48.71 kilometers per hour and its average speed from Phaphamau will be 50.88 kilometers per hour. Passengers will get all the necessary facilities in this 18-coach train and the entire journey will be of 733 km.
There is no pantry car facility in the train
The special reserved train running from Dehradun to Phaphamau does not have pantry car facility. During this time, food and drink will not be provided by the railways. However, food items will be sold through vendors. In such a situation, passengers will have to carry food with them.
