The 38th National Games, which ran for 17 days in Haldwani, is going to conclude on Friday. The International Stadium of Gaulapar, which organized various competitions for so many days, is ready for this moment of farewell. The city is also ready to welcome the chief guest of the ceremony, Union Home Minister Amit Shah. On Thursday, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami reached the venue and took stock of the preparations. During the inspection, the Chief Minister took information about stage construction, decoration, seating arrangements etc. He held a meeting with the officials in the auditorium of the stadium. It was said that this is a historic occasion for the state. The closing program has to be completed with grandeur. Instructions were given that security, gallery and all other facilities should be better during the program. The Chief Minister said that all the competitions of the 38th National Games were held within the state itself. There was no need to go outside the state. Infrastructure was prepared here for this. During this, the Chief Minister instructed the officials to make all the arrangements foolproof so that there is no problem of any kind during the program.
Home Minister will reach Haldwani at 3:40 pm
Union Home Minister Amit Shah will depart from Bareilly Airport at 3:10 pm on February 14 and reach Army helipad in Haldwani at 3:40 pm. From here, the Home Minister will reach International Sports Complex Gaulapar by car at four o’clock and participate as the chief guest in the closing ceremony of the 38th National Games. He will leave for Bareilly Airport from Gaulapar helipad at 5:25 pm.
Will make Devbhoomi a sports land: CM
Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said that sports facilities have developed in the state. The players of the state are performing better. He said that Uttarakhand will now be established not only as Devbhoomi but also as a sports land. The personality of the players will develop and they will get excellent opportunities at the national and international level.
Shuttle service will run from here
City Magistrate AP Vajpayee said that shuttle service for the invited people will be run from three places. The first shuttle service will be run from MB Inter College ground behind Degree College, Haldwani. It will drop the purple card holders at the parking near Gate No. 2 of the stadium from where the purple card holders will enter from Gate No. 2 by walking. Similarly, the second shuttle service will be run from Gaula Rokhad RTO Fitness Center near Gola Bridge i.e. next to the old Slaughter House, which will drop the visitors in the parking near Gate No. 2 and everyone will enter from Gate No. 2.
Many political personalities including Meghalaya CM will be present
Many well-known personalities including Meghalaya Chief Minister and Indian Olympic Association President PT Usha will be present in the closing ceremony of the National Games. BJP District President Pratap Bisht said that many celebrities including Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, Union Youth Affairs and Sports Minister Mansukh Mandaviya, Minister of State for Youth Affairs and Sports Defense Nikhil Khadse, State Sports and Youth Welfare Minister Rekha Arya, Union Minister of State Ajay Tamta, BJP State President Mahendra Bhatt, Chief Secretary Radha Raturi will be present in the closing ceremony.
Amit Shah will also do a road show, will reach the stadium accepting greetings
Before the Gaulapar Stadium, another big event will be held on the city road. Home Minister Amit Shah will reach the stadium from the cantonment helipad greeting the people. Life-size hoardings of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Shah and Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami have been put up on the divider on the way to this program like a road show on Nainital road. Shah will go to the venue from the cantonment helipad with a convoy of vehicles via Tikonia to Kathgodam. BJP District President Pratap Bisht said that during this time BJP workers and common people will stand in queue on both sides of the road to welcome the Home Minister. Home Minister Amit Shah will accept the greetings of the people. The administration has covered the shops on both sides of Aerodrome Road with big curtains for security reasons. Security arrangements have been tightened on the entire route. Cleaning arrangements have been made on the entire route. The road from Tikonia to Kathgodam has been made sparkling clean. A rehearsal was also done on this on Friday. During this, there was a jam at many places.
