This is the 13th visit of Prime Minister Modi to Uttarakhand in the last three and a quarter years. His visit to Mukhwa and Harshil is being considered very important in terms of preserving the cultural heritage of the state as well as promoting winter tourism. The Prime Minister’s visit to these places will naturally brand the winter travel. In Uttarakhand, which is important from the point of view of tourism and pilgrimage, the Dhami government has also started winter travel this time. In this episode, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami met the Prime Minister during his Delhi stay and informed him about the winter travel going on in the state and the steps taken in this regard. Along with this, the Prime Minister was requested to visit any winter seat or tourist place of Chardham. The Prime Minister gladly accepted it. Now he is coming on a visit to Mukhwa and Harshil on Thursday.

How special Uttarakhand is for Prime Minister Modi is also reflected by his visits to the state. From the inauguration of the statue of Adi Guru Shankaracharya along with various development works in Kedarnath Dham on November 5, 2021 to January 28, 2025, he had visited Uttarakhand 12 times. On January 28, he inaugurated the National Games in Dehradun. Now his visit to Mukhwa and Harshil shows that Uttarakhand is his priority and he is committed to making this state a center of development and spirituality. Not only this, since he became the Prime Minister in the year 2014, Uttarakhand has received projects worth about two lakh crore rupees from the Central Government till now. Not only this, under the guidance of Prime Minister Modi, the Dhami government has also taken many historic decisions in the state.
Uttarakhand is the only state in the country which has implemented the Uniform Civil Code after independence. Along with this, the Dhami government has taken many important decisions like strict anti-cheating law for purity in recruitment examinations, strict law to prevent forced conversion.
