
Indian cricket team’s wicketkeeper and opening batsman Rishabh Pant’s elder sister Sakshi and London businessman Ankit Chaudhary tied the knot on Wednesday. Indian cricket team coach Gautam Gambhir, former captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni, Suresh Raina, Nitish Rana, Prithvi Shah, Rahul Tewatia etc. also attended the wedding ceremony held with Kumaoni rituals at Seway Hotel in Mussoorie on Wednesday. Cricketers also danced to folk songs along with the bride and groom and relatives. Rishabh Pant’s elder sister Sakshi, a resident of Roorkee in Haridwar, was engaged to London businessman Ankit Chaudhary last year. The auspicious time for the wedding ceremony was fixed two days before Holi. The famous Seway Hotel in Mussoorie was booked for the destination wedding. Bride Sakshi Pant and close relatives including her family reached Mussoorie on Monday morning, while Rishabh Pant reached Mussoorie late evening from Dubai due to Champions Trophy. Former captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni also reached Mussoorie with his wife Sakshi on Tuesday afternoon, while cricketers Suresh Raina, Nitish Rana, Prithvi Shah, Rahul Tewatia reached late evening. During this, first Mehndi and Haldi rituals took place and a party was organized in the night.

Indian team coach Gautam Gambhir also reached Mussoorie in the morning for the wedding to be held on Wednesday. Haridwar’s Khanpur MLA Umesh Kumar was a part of the ceremony from the first day. Trustworthy sources said that the cricket veterans danced to the tune of Kumaoni band in the ceremony.
