In Uttarakhand, the game of hide and seek between sun and clouds continues from the mountains to the plains. According to the Meteorological Center, today there may be heavy rain, lightning with thunder and intense to very intense spells of rain in Chamoli, Uttarkashi, Rudraprayag, Dehradun, Champawat, Udham Singh Nagar, Bageshwar and Nainital districts. A yellow alert has been issued regarding this. In the remaining districts, there may be lightning with thunder and intense spells of rain. There is a possibility of gusty winds blowing at some places in the state.
The sun was shining till Tuesday afternoon due to which it was felt very hot, but as soon as the evening came, the sky became cloudy and heavy rain started. The maximum rainfall during the day was in Kalsi area, where 105 mm rainfall was recorded. Apart from this, 33.5 mm rainfall was recorded in Koti, 31.5 mm in Maldevta and 20 mm in Sahastradhara. According to the Meteorological Center, there is a possibility of heavy rain at some places at night.
