Prime Minister Narendra Modi transferred the 20th installment of Kisan Samman Nidhi through digital medium to the bank accounts of more than 9.71 crore farmers of the country from Varanasi. These also include 8,28,787 farmers of Uttarakhand, in whose accounts Rs 184.25 crore was transferred. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami also joined the Kisan Samman Nidhi distribution program virtually from the program organized at Harbans Kapoor Memorial Hall in Garhi Cantt, Dehradun and heard the address of the Prime Minister.
On this occasion, Chief Minister Dhami said that under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the state government is continuously working for the upliftment and prosperity of the farmers. In this episode, he mentioned in detail the steps and decisions taken for the upliftment of farming in the state. Agriculture Minister Ganesh Joshi said that the state has made remarkable progress in the field of millet, soil health and fertility, organic farming, crop insurance scheme. On this occasion, MLA Savita Kapoor, Brij Bhushan Gairola, former MP Balraj Pasi, Agriculture Secretary SN Pandey, Director General Ranveer Singh Chauhan besides farmers from different areas of the state were present.
