In the second phase of relief and rescue in the natural disaster in Dharali and Harshil area of Uttarkashi, the police department will focus on search and rescue operation. On behalf of the government, SDRF IG Arun Mohan Joshi has been appointed as the incident commander of the overall search and rescue operation, while Arpan Yaduvanshi Commandant SDRF has been appointed as the Deputy Incident Commander.
High level review
On Sunday, Director General of Police Deepam Seth conducted a detailed review of the first phase of relief and rescue operations going on under the direction of Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami after the natural disaster in Dharali and Harshil area of Uttarkashi at Police Headquarters, Dehradun and conducted a high level review on the upcoming action plan.
All senior police officers and team leaders of various branches of police sent to conduct relief and rescue operations in Uttarkashi district, SDRF, Fire Service, PAC, Telecommunications etc. attended the meeting.
