Action can be taken against these private schools in Uttarakhand, Education Minister Dhan Singh Rawat gave instructions

Educational institutions not following the Right to Education Act in the state will be punished. Chief Education Officers in all districts will prepare a detailed report regarding admissions in private schools under this Act and make it available to the Directorate General. School Education Minister Dr. Dhan Singh Rawat gave instructions to take action against educational institutions violating the Act.
School Education Minister Dr. Dhan Singh Rawat held a departmental review meeting on Wednesday at the government residence regarding compliance with the Right to Education Act. He said that all private educational institutions in the state will have to give admission to students under RTE as per the prescribed standards.
The responsibility for this will be of the Chief Education Officer at the district level and the Block Education Officer at the block level. Dr. Rawat said that the educational institutions in which students are not being given admission under RTE will be issued notices and their NOC will be cancelled. For this. Departmental officials have been instructed to review all private educational institutions.
Apart from this, to further improve the quality of education, the Chief Education Officer has been asked to conduct surprise inspections of all government and private schools. They will prepare a report on the resources, basic facilities and the status of the teaching staff available in the schools. The departmental minister said that complaints of non-compliance of RTE in private schools are also being received from time to time from the Uttarakhand Child Rights Protection Commission. Along with this, many suggestions have also been received from the commission. In the meeting, Dr. Geeta Khanna, Chairperson of Uttarakhand Child Rights Protection Commission, also discussed in detail with the departmental officials on strict implementation of the Child Protection Law and the RTE Act in all private schools of the state. She suggested that the department should prepare a portal for complaints related to the RTE Act, so that the complaints are resolved regularly. Apart from this, emphasis was laid on installing complaint and suggestion boxes in all government and private schools. Director General of Education Abhishek Rohila, Chief Development Officer Abhinav Shah, Secretary of Uttarakhand Child Rights Protection Commission Dr. SK Barnwal, Under Secretary Dr. SK Singh, Director of Basic Education Ajay Kumar Naudiyal, Director of Secondary Education Dr. Mukul Sati, APD Samagra Shiksha Kuldeep Gairola, Chief Education Officers of Dehradun, Haridwar, Udham Singh Nagar, Nainital districts and other departmental officers were present in the meeting.
