Another case of corona has come to light in Doon. The COVID-19 report of a 28-year-old foreign woman has come positive. This woman came to Rishikesh on May 31 and when her health deteriorated, she was tested for corona. The report came a few days later, which confirmed that she was infected. However, during this time the woman has returned to her country from India, due to which the health department has faced the challenge of contact tracing (identification of people who came in contact). The health department is collecting details of all the places and people with whom the woman came in contact during her stay.
23 cases registered in Dehradun district so far
A total of 23 cases of corona infection have been reported in Dehradun district so far. Of these, 15 cases are from Dehradun. While one patient is from Haridwar. There are seven infected who have now gone out of the state. At present there are three active cases in the district. Of these, two patients are in home isolation. While one patient is being treated in a private hospital.
Health department appeals, caution is the only safety
The health department has appealed to the people not to ignore the symptoms of Covid. If symptoms like fever, cough, sore throat, loss of taste or smell appear, immediately go to the nearest health center and get tested. The department has also said that even though the infection is under control, negligence can worsen the situation.
