Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami criticized the opposition’s stance regarding the Uttarakhand Subordinate Service Selection Commission (UKSSSC) graduate-level recruitment examination. He said that those who have consistently questioned CBI and ED investigations were trying to gain political mileage by using the recruitment examination issue and demanding a CBI probe. Seeing the plight of the students and to thwart the conspiracy of these disruptive elements, he had to intervene. He personally met with the youth and assured them that their legitimate demands would be met along with the CBI investigation. Meanwhile, as per his announcement, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami approved the file for a CBI investigation into the UKSSSC recruitment examination. During the inauguration of several ambitious urban development projects at the Chief Minister’s Camp Office on Wednesday, Chief Minister Dhami expressed his displeasure with the opposition’s politicization of the recruitment examination. He said that as soon as the government came to know about a cheating case, it took immediate action, arrested the culprits, and formed an SIT to investigate the entire examination. However, the opposition tried to exploit this situation, using the youth as pawns to further their political agenda. Attempts were made to create chaos in the state. Without naming any Congress leaders, he said that those who have questioned CBI and ED investigations for their political gains, tried to politicize this issue by demanding a CBI probe. The Chief Minister said that he would bend over backwards and even sacrifice himself for the interests of the youth. He added that the government has implemented the strictest anti-cheating law in the country to make recruitment processes transparent and curb the cheating mafia. As a result, more than 25,000 young people in the state have secured government jobs in the last four years, which is a record in itself. Since the implementation of this law, more than 100 members of the examination cheating mafia, who had turned cheating into an industry in Uttarakhand during previous governments, have been put behind bars. All these measures have been taken by our government to ensure the future and well-being of the youth. Chief Minister Dhami stated that some people are even saying that we have succumbed to pressure from the youth or those demanding a CBI investigation. Addressing such individuals, he reiterated that he would do whatever is necessary, even at the cost of his own political career, to protect the interests of the youth.
