
Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami is regularly monitoring the Chardham Yatra arrangements. While reviewing the travel arrangements through virtual medium from Delhi on Saturday, the Chief Minister gave instructions to the officials to make online registration more effective. He said that Chardham Yatra is going to increase further in the coming year. In such a situation, in view of the efficient management and operation of various yatras taking place in the state including Chardham, Kanwar, Purnagiri, travel authority should also be considered.
The Chief Minister said that it is the responsibility of all of us to provide darshan of Chardham to every devotee coming to the state. We have to complete the journey by becoming partners of the devotees. He asked the officials to remain in alert mode 24 hours regarding the Yatra, increase the number of toilets along with basic facilities at the holding sites, consider alternative routes for evacuation of vehicles in case of increased crowd, and conduct regular cleaning campaigns on the Yatra routes. Also gave instructions.
Make preparations for holidays also
The Chief Minister also asked the officials to go to the ground and take feedback from the devotees, so that small shortcomings can be rectified in time. He also gave instructions to complete all preparations in view of the upcoming holidays and weekends. Also, the district administrations of Haridwar, Dehradun, Pauri, Tehri, Rudraprayag, Chamoli and Uttarkashi were asked to work in mutual coordination. On this occasion, Chamoli DM Himanshu Khurana and Uttarkashi DM Dr. Meharban Singh Bisht gave information related to the yatra. Chief Secretary Radha Raturi, Principal Secretary RK Sudhanshu, Secretary Arvind Hyanki, Divisional Commissioner Vinay Shankar Pandey and DMs of various districts attended the meeting.
