In view of the consecration ceremony of Nutan Vigraha, the child form of Lord Shri Ram, on January 22 in Ayodhya, the state government is celebrating a cultural festival these days in Devbhoomi Uttarakhand. Cleanliness campaign in religious places, ghats and public places has also been made a part of this festival. In this series, a special cleanliness campaign will be conducted in the premises of monasteries, temples, ghats, water sources and rivers located in 15983 villages of 7795 gram panchayats of the state. Following the instructions received from the government, the Panchayati Raj Department has also issued a circular for all the Gram Panchayats.
Atmosphere of excitement in Devbhoomi
There is an atmosphere of enthusiasm in the entire Devbhoomi regarding the consecration of Ramlala’s life. Many organisations, including Vishwa Hindu Parishad, are going door-to-door and distributing leaflets related to Akshat, the picture of Shri Ram temple worshiped in Ayodhya and the Pran Pratistha ceremony. Various programs are being organized in all cities and major places. The government is also participating in this. Cultural festivals have started in the state from Makar Sankranti, which will continue till January 22. All departments are participating in this. Not only this, cleanliness campaign is also being conducted in the state till 21st January, which is a part of the cultural festival. It has already started in municipal bodies.
Cleanliness campaign will be launched
In this series, focus has also been focused on vigorously conducting cleanliness campaigns at other places including the premises of monasteries and temples located in villages. On an average, each of the 15983 villages in the state has two small and big monasteries and temples. Along with making the premises of these temples clean, cleanliness campaign is also to be carried out in the roads, water sources and rivers connecting them.
In accordance with the guidelines issued by Culture and Panchayati Raj Secretary Hari Chandra Semwal, the department has also issued a circular in this regard to the Gram Panchayats. According to Deputy Director Panchayati Raj Manoj Kumar Tiwari, all gram panchayats will complete this work by January 21. For this, the amount can be spent from the grant received from the 15th Finance Commission.
