Now the sub-committee of the cabinet will take a decision in the matter of giving basic salary and dearness allowance in proportion to the post to the daily wage employees working through contract and outsourcing who are exempted from regularization in the Forest Department. This decision was taken in the virtual meeting of the cabinet held late on Saturday evening under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami. The matter is pending in the Supreme Court in this case, which is to be heard on September 24 and the government has to file a reply.
Cabinet meeting convened in a hurry
The subject of contempt of court is also involved in this case. Due to this, this cabinet meeting was called in a hurry. Now after taking legal opinion on this subject, information about the steps to be taken by the government and the formation of the cabinet sub-committee will be given in the court. Chief Minister Dhami joined the cabinet meeting virtually from Champawat, while Cabinet Ministers Premchand Aggarwal, Subodh Uniyal, Rekha Arya and Ganesh Joshi were present from the Secretariat. Cabinet Minister Saurabh Bahuguna joined virtually. In the meeting, there was a discussion mainly on the case of daily wage workers of the Forest Department going on in the Supreme Court. The case of basic salary and dearness allowance to 934 daily wage workers left out of regularization has been going on for a long time. Earlier, the High Court had passed orders to give this in the case related to it. Later this matter reached the Supreme Court. Along with this, a contempt petition was also filed in the matter of dearness allowance. It was told that the basic salary is being given to the workers. It was decided to constitute a sub-committee of the cabinet under the chairmanship of Forest Minister Subodh Uniyal to take a decision on other points related to it including dearness allowance. The sub-committee will discuss all the subjects and submit its report.

In the cabinet meeting, there was also a discussion on the subject related to Char Dham Yatra and disaster. It was decided that it will be ensured that the journey is not interrupted due to disaster under any circumstances.
For this, the ministers in charge of all the districts will keep an equal watch in their respective districts. If a disaster situation arises somewhere, they will immediately direct the administration to open the roads etc. It was also decided that now in case of damage caused by a disaster, relief amount will be provided to the affected people according to the new standards.
