In the meeting of Shri Badrinath-Kedarnath Temple Committee (BKTC), a budget of Rs 116.24 crore was passed for the Chardham Yatra to be held this year and for the convenience of the pilgrims. Also, BKTC will give an amount of Rs 10 crore to the state government for the development of passenger facilities. In the meeting, the recruitment process and rules under the Religious Services Cadre Service Rules-2024 of the Temple Committee, appointment to the posts of Vedpathi and priest, deployment of additional personnel for arrangements, management and cleanliness during the yatra period were also discussed.
Budget presented for Char Dham
On Saturday, a meeting was held under the chairmanship of Chairman Ajendra Ajay at the BKTC office on Canal Road. In which a budget of Rs 116 crore 24 lakh 77 thousand 26 was passed. The proposed income for Badrinath Dham was Rs 54 crore 44 thousand 601, and for Kedarnath Dham the budget was presented with an income of Rs 62 crore 24 lakh 32 thousand 425. An expenditure of Rs 97 lakh 46 thousand 26 has been proposed for both the Dhams. He said that it has been decided to give an amount of Rs 10 crore to the state government for the development of various passenger facilities in Kedarnath and Badrinath Yatra routes and Dhams. For this, the District Magistrate of Rudraprayag and Chamoli will provide the proposal to BKTC through the government.
BKTC expressed gratitude to PM Modi and CM Dhami
During this, he thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the consecration of the idol of Shri Ram Lalla in Ayodhya and Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami for guiding the preparations for the Chardham Yatra. While presenting the budget 2024-25, Chief Executive Officer Yogendra Singh said that last year BKTC had an expenditure of Rs 75,78,05,803 against the income of Rs 92,36,29,294. Temple Committee Vice President Kishore Panwar, members Mahendra Sharma, Virendra Aswal, Srinivas Posti, Rajpal Jaddhari, Pushkar Joshi, Ashutosh Dimri, Bhaskar Dimri, Nanda Devi etc. were present in the meeting.
Emphasis will be on these
BKTC President Ajendra Ajay said that emphasis has been laid on passenger facilities in the budget. Maintenance of temples, renovation and worship arrangements, decoration of rest houses, new construction, establishment of e-office, infrastructure facilities in Badrinath-Kedarnath, construction of office residences, infrastructure facilities in Sanskrit schools run by the committee. There will also be emphasis on development and welfare of employees.
