
The government is going to give great relief to those youths who were involved in the protest against Agniveer Yojana, who are preparing for various competitive exams or are studying in schools and colleges. On Independence Day, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami announced the withdrawal of cases against these youth and students.
CM Dhami also announced setting up of a mineral processing portal with a view to providing building materials to the general public through online booking throughout the year. He said that while black marketing of minor minerals will be curbed, it will be easily available to the common man at a cheaper rate.
Chief Minister’s mother-child protection scheme will start
While congratulating the people of the State on Independence Day, the Chief Minister made several announcements especially related to women and youth. He said that Mukhyamantri Jachcha-Bachcha Suraksha Yojana would be started for the safety of pregnant women in remote areas. Books in both Hindi and English medium will be made available free of cost to the students of classes 1 to 12 in government schools.
During this, CM Dhami said that major intersections and roads of the state will be named after freedom fighters, sacrificers, litterateurs and great personalities. The Chief Minister announced that Mukhyamantri Ekal Mahila Swarozgar Yojana would be started for single, destitute, abandoned and widowed women in the state.
Will be developed as model city
Under the Mukhyamantri Parvatiya Nagar Vikas Yojana, one city each in both Garhwal and Kumaon mandals will be developed as a model city. To ensure proper education and balanced nutrition for the children of working class, the number of mobile schools and mobile Anganwadi centers will be increased. A detailed action plan will be prepared to give its historic and mythological appearance to the ancient city Haripur situated on the banks of Yamuna in Vikas Nagar area of Dehradun district.
The field of education will be increased
National Tribal Cultural Competition will be organized soon for the promotion of tribal culture in the state. Central government will be requested to increase the number of Eklavya schools in tribal areas of marginal villages. He said that due to the successful candidates in more than one competitive examination, appointments will be given on the basis of waiting list for the vacant posts. Unity Mall will be established to promote cottage industries and self-employment in the state and sell their products.
