The central government has given 100% approval to Uttarakhand CAMPA’s Rs 439.50 crore action plan for the current financial year. This approval was given in the meeting of the Executive Committee of National CAMPA (Compensatory Afforestation Fund Management and Planning Authority) held in Delhi. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has expressed his gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Forest and Environment Minister Bhupendra Yadav for this.
After considering the proposals of Uttarakhand in the meeting of the Executive Committee of National CAMPA, all were approved. The committee found that all the works proposed in CAMPA in the state are in accordance with the standards and the requisite details related to them have also been kept with clarity. Chief Forest Conservator of Uttarakhand and Chief Executive Officer of CAMPA, Dr. Sameer Sinha said that this is the first time that the annual plan of CAMPA proposed by the state has been fully approved. Let us tell you that Uttarakhand CAMPA had approved an action plan of Rs 439.50 crore and sent it to the Center. In the first phase, the Center had approved an amount of Rs 235.30 crore. After the release of this amount in May, the state government also released the first installment to the Forest Department. Forest Minister Subodh Uniyal, while wishing the team of Uttarakhand CAMPA, has expected that the Forest Department will implement the schemes in the interest of the state with the CAMPA funds as per the prescribed time and standards.
CAMPA Chief Executive Officer Dr Sinha said that under CAMPA, the state had received approval of Rs 383.25 crore against the action plan of Rs 424.46 crore in the year 2023-24 and Rs 369.25 crore against Rs 408 crore in the year 2024-25 from the Central Government.
