
The Central Government has given funds of Rs 559 crore for 33 projects in Uttarakhand. In this financial assistance of the Centre, an amount of Rs 100 crore has been given for strengthening the infrastructure of health facilities in Haridwar Medical and Rs 88 crore has been given for the multipurpose Song Dam Project in Dehradun. An amount of Rs 51.75 crore has also been made available for the construction of Shaurya Sthal. Besides, funds have also been given for strengthening of police force and housing of police personnel. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman.

CM Dhami said that the funds received from the Center will speed up development in the state. The Center has provided this loan amount to the state as additional assistance. The state government had sent a letter in this regard on February 26 and sent proposals worth Rs 748.71 crore to the Center for capital items for 45 development projects. The Center has sent this amount to the state under the Special Assistance Scheme for Capital Investment. It is to be used in the current financial year. Under this scheme, Rs 10.85 crore has been given for the construction of ISBT in Herbertpur and energy projects in Bhimawala and Chilla have also been given.
Special attention is given to road construction
Rs 8.17 crore has also been given for multi-storey parking at Krishnapuri and Baman Naula in Pithoragarh and Rs 6 crore has been given for the construction of parking at Lakshminarayan and Hathkali temples. An amount of Rs 8 crore has been given for the construction of various roads in Haridwar, Rs 26 crore for tunnel parking in Kempty Fall, Rs 7 crore for multi-storey parking in the tehsil complex in Roorkee, Rs 20 crore has been given for the examination hall in Open University in Haldwani.

Rs 10.80 crore for MDDA projects in Dhaulas, Rs 8.44 crore for bus stand in Kichha of Udham Singh Nagar, Rs 5 crore for construction of bus stand in Khatima, Rs 17 crore for beautification of Mall Road in Mussoorie, Rs 9.02 crore for MDDA’s Aamwala scheme.
