Chief Minister Dhami’s call – Doctors should always keep their image of ‘God of Earth’ alive

Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has called upon all the doctors of the state to always keep alive their image, which the society has given to the doctor by calling him God of Earth, through their conduct, service and dedication. He said that the faith, respect and reverence that the public has for the doctor should be strengthened further. On Tuesday, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami congratulated and wished all the doctors in a program organized on the occasion of Doctors Day at the Chief Minister’s residence. During this, he said that a unique confluence of knowledge, science and spirituality is seen in Indian culture. Culture is not only based on faith and belief but it is also the result of deep scientific approach, contemplation and research. He said that under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the state government is continuously making efforts to expand and strengthen health services. The government is trying to provide quality medical facilities to every citizen of the state at affordable rates.

About 58 lakh Ayushman cards have been distributed in the state under the Ayushman Yojana. Through this, Rs 2100 crore has been paid for the cashless treatment of more than 11 lakh patients. Chief Minister Dhami also honored all the doctors in the program. During this, doctors from all major government and private hospitals including Dr. RK Jain, Dr. Geeta Khanna, Dr. Sunita Tamta, Dr. Krishna Avtaar, Dr. RS Bisht, Dr. Ashok Kumar, Dr. Ashutosh Sayana, Dr. Mahesh Kudiyal, Dr. Prashant, Dr. Nandan Bisht and Dr. Vipul Kandwal were present.

Medical colleges being established in every district
The Chief Minister said that a medical college is being established in every district of the state. With this, patients from remote areas will be able to get modern health services in their own district. He said that the construction work of the state’s first modern cancer institute is in progress in Haldwani. Heli ambulance service has been started in the state, which is proving to be a lifesaver for the common people from any remote areas of the state in any emergency. He said that the government is continuously making efforts to remove the shortage of staff in all government hospitals and medical colleges.
