
Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami hoisted the flag at the main program of the state at Parade Ground Dehradun on the occasion of 78th Independence Day. On this occasion, the Chief Minister honored the family members of freedom fighters and also visited the photo exhibition. The Chief Minister congratulated and wished all the people of the state on Independence Day. On this occasion, the Chief Minister honored Additional Superintendent of Police, SDRF Vijendra Dutt Doval and Dalnayak IRB II Pratap Singh Tomar with the Chief Minister’s Commendable Service Medal. Commander, SDRF Uttarakhand Manikant Mishra and Superintendent of Police, District Uttarkashi Arpan Yaduvanshi were honored by the Chief Minister with the Commendable Service Medal for distinguished work. Priyanshu, who won the gold medal in the fifth Asian Youth Athletics, International Athletics Championship held in Tashkent, Uzbekistan in the year 2023, Rahul Sarnaliya who won the silver medal and athletics coach Lokesh Kumar were also honored by the Chief Minister.

Farmers and entrepreneurs doing excellent work in the field of industry, horticulture and agriculture will be awarded an amount of one lakh, 75 thousand and 50 thousand respectively as first, second and third prize.
‘Employee Personal Loan Scheme’ will be implemented for regular employees of Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe, Divyang and Other Backward Classes.
The monthly income currently fixed in Old Age Pension Scheme, Widow Pension Scheme, Divyang Pension Scheme, Grant Scheme to Children with Disabilities from Birth and Abandoned Pension Scheme will be increased from Rs 4000 to Rs 6000 per month.
To connect the youth with self-employment, the subject matter of training under the Skill Development Scheme will be determined by the District Skill Development Committee in accordance with local requirements.
A policy will be made for the overall welfare of senior citizens.
To stop migration from the hilly areas of the state and to promote trout fish production, a scheme of Rs 200 crore will be started in the fisheries department under the ‘Mukhyamantri Matsya Sampada Yojana’.
With the aim of providing modern veterinary services to the livestock farmers of the state, one model veterinary hospital will be established in each district at a cost of Rs 75 crore, which will provide security to the livestock of about 11 lakh livestock families.
Apart from being Devbhoomi, Uttarakhand is also Veerbhoomi
The Chief Minister said that Uttarakhand is not only Devbhoomi but also Veerbhoomi, to honor the sacrifice and bravery of those heroes, we have to take a pledge that we will ensure our contribution to make Uttarakhand and India developed. He said that today under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, India is moving ahead on the path of continuous progress. Today, the removal of Article 370 from Kashmir, declaring the practice of triple talaq illegal, construction of a grand temple at the birthplace of Lord Shri Ram in Ayodhya, abolition of laws that have been in place since the British era, all this has been possible only due to the strong leadership of the Prime Minister.
The Prime Minister has pledged to make India a developed nation by 15 August 2047, the 100th anniversary of India’s independence. To fulfill this pledge, our government is also taking many important steps for the overall development of the state. The Chief Minister said that according to the report released by NITI Aayog this year, Uttarakhand has secured the first position in the SDG Index ranking. The state is included in the category of Achievers in the category of Ease of Doing Business and Leader in the Startup Ranking. Uttarakhand has become the first state in India to assess ecosystem growth by preparing an index of Gross Environment Product (GEP). Uttarakhand will be the first state in the country to implement the Uniform Civil Code. The Chief Minister said that the state government has taken many unprecedented decisions like giving three gas cylinders to Antyodaya families, implementing the system of 30 percent horizontal reservation for the women of the state, re-starting sports quota in government jobs and giving scholarships to the students of the state pursuing higher education.
Along with this, laws have been implemented in the state to stop forced conversion, land jihad and love jihad, the country’s strictest anti-copying law and strict anti-riot law. The state government is continuously working keeping in mind the mantra of simplification, solution, disposal and satisfaction. Due to the transparent system of Apni Sarkar Portal, e-Cabinet, e-Office, CM Helpline, Right to Service and Transfer Act, there has been a qualitative improvement in the work culture. In the direction of ending corruption, more than 100 people have been sent to jail so far through the complaints received on 1064.
Appointments to more than 15 thousand youth
He said that the state government has started ‘Mukhyamantri Ekal Mahila Sashaktikaran Swarojgar Yojana’ and ‘Lakhpati Didi Yojana’ schemes. In the last 3 years, the state government has given appointments to more than 15 thousand youth in government departments.
