
Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami reached Delhi on Thursday evening after his two-day Kumaon tour. In Delhi on Friday, the Chief Minister will attend a meeting of the NDMA, in which the latest situation on the Joshimath landslide disaster will be discussed.
The state government has sent a proposal for a relief package of two thousand crores for Joshimath to the Centre, which is likely to be approved soon.
Inauguration of three months long fair in Purnagiri Dham
Chief Minister Dhami had reached Khatima on Wednesday evening. On Thursday, he inaugurated the three-month-long fair at Purnagiri Dham in Champawat. Apart from this, he participated in many other programs. After the Kumaon tour, the Chief Minister reached Delhi on Thursday evening.
Proposal for a package of about two thousand crores for Joshimath:
The NDM meeting is to be held in Delhi on Friday regarding the Joshimath disaster. According to Secretary Chief Minister R Meenakshi Sundaram, the government has sent a proposal for a package of about two thousand crores to the Center for Joshimath disaster relief.
This proposal has also been sent to the Prime Minister’s Office. The government has prepared this proposal after assessing the damage caused by the disaster and relief works in Joshimath. It is understood that a decision on this package can be taken in the NDMA meeting to be held on Friday.
Apart from the NDM meeting, the Chief Minister will also meet Union Energy Minister RK Singh and Defense Minister Rajnath Singh on Friday. According to sources, in view of the possibility of power crisis in the state, the Chief Minister may request the help of the Union Minister to deal with the power crisis.
During the meeting with Defense Minister Rajnath Singh, the Chief Minister is likely to discuss strategic issues related to the state and border villages. The Chief Minister said that he would meet the Defense Minister and Union Energy Minister in Delhi on Friday and discuss various issues related to the state.
