The mood of the weather has changed in the mountainous regions of Uttarakhand. Light to moderate showers are continuing in the high altitude areas including Chamoli, Rudraprayag. Whereas, the heat has increased due to bright sunshine throughout the day in the plains. The rising mercury is now testing.
Bright sunshine in Doon
Bright sunshine was shining in Doon since Tuesday morning. The heat increased with the rise in mercury in the afternoon and severe heat was felt. The weather remained dry in the surrounding areas as well. Partial clouds hovered at some places in Chamoli, Uttarkashi, Rudraprayag, Bageshwar and Pithoragarh and light to moderate rain occurred in some areas. There is relief from heat due to the change in the mood of the weather in the mountains. Whereas, the heat has started testing in the plains. The maximum temperature in many plains has reached 39 degrees Celsius. In Doon also the mercury is close to 37 degrees Celsius.
