
Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami unfurled the national flag at the main function of the state at Parade Ground Dehradun on the occasion of 77th Independence Day. On this occasion, the Chief Minister honored the relatives of the freedom fighters and also visited the photo exhibition. During the programme, the Chief Minister presented Mukhyamantri Meritorious Service Medal to 05 police officers and employees for their special work.
Chief Constable Chaman Kumar, Superintendent of Police Amit Srivastava, Superintendent of Police Rekha Yadav, Additional Superintendent of Police Sarita Doval and Constable Dhirendra Singh Chauhan were awarded meritorious service medals by Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami.

On this special occasion, the Chief Minister extended greetings and best wishes to all the residents of the state on Independence Day. On this occasion, the Chief Minister made 13 announcements in the interest of the state.
A ‘Mineral Processing Portal’ will be created to deliver building materials to the common man through online booking throughout the year, which will prevent black marketing of these minerals on the one hand, while people will also be able to get cheap minerals easily.
For the safety of pregnant mothers and sisters in remote areas, we will start the ‘Mukhyamantri Jachcha-Bachcha Suraksha Yojana’, under which a mechanism will be developed to arrange for airlifting pregnant mothers and sisters in difficult circumstances. We are planning to link this system with 108 ambulance service.
For the students of class 1 to 12 in government schools, books of their subjects will be made available free of cost in both Hindi and English medium.
The cases against those youths, who are preparing for various competitive exams or studying in schools and colleges, will be withdrawn.
Major intersections and roads of the state will be named after freedom fighters, martyrs, litterateurs and great personalities of the state.
‘Mukhya Mantri Ekal Mahila Swarozgar Yojana’ will be started in the state to encourage single, destitute, abandoned and widowed women to generate employment at their place of residence and to strengthen their economic condition.
With the aim of developing the cities of the hilly region, under the ‘Chief Minister Mountain City Development Scheme’, one city each in both the mandals will be developed as a ‘Model City’.
To ensure proper education and balanced nutrition for the working class children, the number of mobile schools and mobile Anganwadi centers will be increased.
A detailed action plan will be prepared to restore the ancient city ‘Haripur’ situated on the banks of Maa Yamuna in Vikasnagar area to its historical and mythological form.
National Tribal Cultural Program competition will be organized soon for the promotion of tribal culture in the state.
Central Government will be requested to increase the number of ‘Eklavya Schools’ in tribal areas of frontier villages.
Due to the successful candidates in more than one competitive examination, appointments will be made on the basis of waiting list on the vacant posts, this waiting list will be valid for a certain period of time and will remain effective.
To promote cottage industries and self-employment in the state, ‘Unity Mall’ will be established for the sale of their products.
