
Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami participated in the Harmony with Equality program organized at Acharya Camp in Prayagraj on Sunday. On this occasion, all the saints congratulated the Chief Minister for implementing the Uniform Civil Code (UCC) for the first time in the state of Uttarakhand. The Chief Minister was honored with a garland by the saints. On this occasion, the Chief Minister thanked all the saints and said that it is a matter of good fortune to get the blessings of revered saints on the auspicious occasion of the holy land of Triveni and Mahakumbh. He said that the blessings of revered saints are most important in the vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi for a developed India. He said that implementing the Uniform Civil Code is a step towards developed India. The honor that the saints have given me is the honor of every citizen of Uttarakhand. The Chief Minister said that before the 2022 assembly elections, we had pledged to implement the Uniform Civil Code in front of the people of Uttarakhand. The public gave us their blessings. After the formation of the government, a committee was formed for Uniform Civil Code in the first cabinet meeting. After which, under the leadership of the Prime Minister, the state government of Uttarakhand implemented Uniform Civil Code in Uttarakhand for the first time after the independence of the country. The Chief Minister said that the constitution makers had also made a provision for uniform laws. Uttarakhand is Devbhoomi, our state is the state of Ganga, Yamuna, four dhams, Adi Kailash, saints. In the state of Uttarakhand, a member of every household is in the army. In every place of the country, the youth of Devbhoomi is serving Mother India.
