Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami launched the website of the Pravasi Uttarakhand Cell at the Secretariat on Saturday. On this website, migrants will get information about various policies, programs and activities of the state government. The Chief Minister said that the expertise, experience and financial capacity of the migrants will be taken advantage of in the development of the state. He directed to organize a grand Pravasi Uttarakhandi Sammelan in Dehradun on November 7. Chief Minister Dhami said that the migrants of Uttarakhand have created a distinct identity on the strength of their work in the country and the world. Everyone is connected to the motherland. We should have regular contact with migrants living anywhere in the world. We are making efforts to be a partner in their every happiness and sorrow. All migrants living abroad are invited to the conference on Pravasi Uttarakhand Day on November 7. Their database will be kept updated. Instructions have been given to the officials in this regard. The government has set up the Pravasi Uttarakhand Cell to connect the migrants with the motherland and honor them.

He said that for the convenience of the migrants, the website www.pravasiuttarakhandi.uk.gov.in has been launched. It also provides links to the Ministry of External Affairs and its important schemes. The cell has collected contacts of migrant organizations and eminent migrants from various sources. So far, contact has been established with migrant Uttarakhandis living in 18 countries.
