The Uttarakhand Legislative Assembly has taken a big step in the process of parliamentary reform. In this episode, the entire proceedings of the assembly will now be done in digital form. For this, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami and Assembly Speaker Ritu Bhushan Khanduri launched the e-Vidhan Sabha Application (NEVA) before the start of the budget session on Tuesday. Chief Minister Dhami said that a new era has begun in the democratic history of the state and this digital change will prove to be a milestone for the state. Launching the e-Vidhan Sabha application in the Assembly, Chief Minister Dhami said that this initiative towards making the Uttarakhand Legislative Assembly digital will not only strengthen parliamentary democracy but will also promote environmental protection and transparency. He said that now the entire proceedings of the Assembly will be completely paperless. This will not only reduce the consumption of paper, but parliamentary work will be carried out in a transparent and effective manner. Under this, the members of the Legislative Assembly will now be able to submit their questions, proposals, notices and documents digitally. This will make the proceedings of the Assembly and the parliamentary process more smooth. Along with this, accountability and transparency will also be promoted. Assembly Speaker Ritu Bhushan Khanduri said that this step will not only help in preserving environmental balance, but will also help in making the working system more consistent, transparent and quick.
Tablets installed on the tables of all MLAs
He informed that tablets have been installed on the tables of all the MLAs and all the documents are being made available digitally. He said that this step will establish Uttarakhand as a smart and technologically capable state. Parliamentary Affairs Minister Premchand Agarwal, Cabinet Minister Satpal Maharaj, Subodh Uniyal, Ganesh Joshi, Dr. Dhan Singh Rawat, Rekha Arya and Saurabh Bahuguna were also present on this occasion.
Push-pull between protesters and police during Uttarakhand Assembly march
On the first day of the budget session of the Assembly, various political parties and social organizations marched to the Assembly on the issues of domicile, land law and city. The police force stopped the protesters near the barricading before Rispana bridge. During this, there was also a scuffle between the workers of many organizations with the police. A memorandum was submitted to City Magistrate Pratyush Singh on the spot.
