
A long-term plan will be made for proper arrangement of drainage in those places of the state including Khanpur, Laksar in Haridwar district, which are facing the problem of water-logging even during less rains. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami gave instructions in this regard to the Secretary Disaster Management during the inspection of the Disaster Operation Center at the Secretariat on Tuesday. He also inquired about the situation arising due to the rains in the state. Along with calling the District Magistrates, they instructed that the administration should be kept on alert mode to face every challenge.
In view of the disaster situation arising due to incessant rains, Chief Minister Dhami is standing on the front. He is taking moment by moment information of all the areas. Along with this, he is also continuously giving directions to the machinery. Meanwhile, in view of the rains in various areas of the state since Monday night, Chief Minister Dhami reached the Disaster Operation Center on Tuesday morning and took details of the situation in all the districts from the officials.
Instructions to be available on every need:
Dhami directed the District Magistrates that in case of any disaster, complete preparations should be made for the affected people to get quick relief. He also asked to take steps to ensure proper arrangement of food items, medicines and other essential items in the districts, and to immediately restore the roads, electricity and drinking water systems that were obstructed due to rains.
The Chief Minister instructed the District Magistrates to work in coordination with NDRF, SDRF, ITBP as well as keeping constant contact with various departments in view of rescue and relief works in case of disaster. He said that the District Magistrate should be in constant touch with the government, so that if anything is required, its availability can be ensured quickly.
He also inquired about the deployment of Army, NDRF and SDRF. Additional Chief Secretary Radha Raturi, Secretary Disaster Management Department Dr. Ranjit Sinha, Additional Secretary Savin Bansal, ACEO Riddhim Agarwal and other officers were present on the occasion.

On the question asked regarding the Chardham Yatra, he said that the devotees have been requested to prepare the program of the yatra after taking into account the weather.
