Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has congratulated Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman for presenting an excellent budget. He has said that ‘I want to thank PM Modi and congratulate Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman for presenting a wonderful budget to the people of the country. This budget will live up to the expectations of the people of the country as well as the world.
All-encompassing and inclusive budget of Amrit Kaal:
Chief Minister Dhami said that the Union Budget 2023-24, presented by Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, is an all-encompassing and all-encompassing budget of the Amrit period, giving a new strength to the grand resolution of developed India.
Heartfelt gratitude to the Prime Minister and the Finance Minister for this public welfare budget which gave a concrete shape to the expectations of 130 crore countrymen during the Amrit period. Promoting the development of tourism and border areas including natural agriculture and startups related to it, this budget will certainly play an important role in making Uttarakhand one of the best states by 2025.
Resolve for building and prosperity of New India:
Former Chief Minister Tirath Singh Rawat said that the General Budget 2023-24 presented in the Parliament is a resolution for the creation and prosperity of New India. This budget is the essence of the feelings of 130 crore countrymen and the basis of their service. This budget is all-touching, all-inclusive, public welfare, village, poor, farmer, youth, women and a bundle of hopes of every class.
This budget of the elixir of independence is the resolution of a developed India, no doubt it will prove to be a milestone in making India an economic superpower. Welcoming the Union Budget 2023-24, I heartily congratulate and thank the Prime Minister of the country Narendra Modi and the Union Finance Minister.
The middle class got bitter pills wrapped in honey:
Leader of Opposition Yashpal Arya said that it is unfortunate to reduce education budget from 2.64% to 2.5% in the budget. Reducing health budget from 2.2% to 1.98% is harmful. There is nothing in the budget for rising unemployment, plight of farmers, skyrocketing inflation and crisis on the existence of small and medium industries.
Budget allocations for agriculture, public health, education, MNREGA, food security and social concerns, public welfare have been reduced as compared to last year. Which is a danger bell for farmers-labourers, poor, backward, dalits and tribals.
The middle class has got nothing but bitter pills coated in honey. Income tax reform is in that new system, in which there is no provision for exemption. More concessions have been given to industrialists during the Amrit period, but the unorganized sector continues to be neglected. Inflation, unemployment, poverty are sure to increase from Budget 2023.
