The Chief Minister launched three web portals prepared by the Urban Development Department to assist women self-help groups. He announced to digitize the offices of municipal bodies, build silver jubilee parks, create vending zones in municipal bodies, request the Government of India to untie the tied fund. Announced to run training programs for local women and men to set up 10 high-tech hair salons, parlors in each municipal corporation of the state, five in the municipality and three in the Nagar Panchayat.
Make special efforts to prevent garbage, traffic jam
CM Dhami said that the urban government, municipal corporations and municipalities are the soul of any city. He said that a lot still remains to be done. The problem of drainage remains in many cities. The garbage management system needs to be strengthened further. Traffic jam has become a common challenge in cities, to control which the local bodies will also have to make special efforts. On this occasion all the mayors including Mayor Saurabh Thapliyal, Chairman, Secretary Nitesh Jha, Municipal Commissioner Namami Bansal etc were present.
