Meteorologists say that rain causes a rapid drop in temperatures, and snowfall occurs only after temperatures reach freezing point.
In fact, so far, the high altitude areas across the state have only experienced snowfall once or twice. Snowfall in Uttarakhand’s high altitude regions begins as early as November. According to a bulletin issued by the Meteorological Department on Sunday, the weather will remain dry across the state. Dehradun is also expected to have mostly clear skies. The maximum temperature is expected to be around 26 degrees Celsius and the minimum temperature around nine degrees Celsius
