With the coordination of the state government and the central government, preparations are on to give a new pace to development in Uttarakhand. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami met Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi on Tuesday. During the meeting which lasted for about one and a half hour, the Chief Minister sought cooperation from the Prime Minister for important projects for the development of the state.
Along with this, he was invited to attend the proposed International Investors Conference in Uttarakhand in the month of December. Dhami also informed about the progress made so far in the state regarding Uniform Civil Code. After meeting the Prime Minister, Chief Minister Dhami tweeted and addressed Prime Minister Modi as the boss of the political world and the flag bearer of Sanatan culture.
Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, in a meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi, requested the Central Government to bear the entire cost of the Kichha-Khatima Railway Project at a cost of 1526 crores. He also requested to release the central government’s share of about 410 crores for the industrial park under the Amritsar-Kolkata Industrial Corridor. Dhami said that the loan limit for externally aided projects should be kept as before.
12652 crore loan limit condition removed in EAP:
The Chief Minister informed that the Union Finance Ministry has limited the loan limit to Rs 12,652 crore for the year 2025-2026 under these projects. This has made it difficult to propose proposals for significant new projects under the EAP. This limit should be removed. The financial approval of the Jamrani Dam Multipurpose Project should be obtained from the Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs. A request was also made to relax the condition of compulsorily spending 45 percent of the state’s capital expenditure by 30 September.
PM is aware of Uniform Civil Code:
Talking to the media in New Delhi after the meeting, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said that the draft of the Uniform Civil Code has not yet been received by the government. The government will not delay in implementing it. There will be no haste in this, so that there is no disturbance of any kind. The draft committee visited the border and tribal areas of the state and took the views of the local residents.
In response to a question, he said that Prime Minister Modi has all the information about the Uniform Civil Code. The Prime Minister was briefed about the ongoing projects in Kedarnath and Badrinath and the Kanwar Yatra. The target is to complete all the works in Badrinath by the month of December.

Harrawala shift railway station:
Dhami insisted on shifting the main railway station of Dehradun to Harrawala, transfer of land of old railway station of Rishikesh to the state government. In Haridwar, lobbied for transfer of 457 acres of unused land of Central Government PSU BHEL to the State. The Chief Minister said that the IDS scheme was launched to promote industrialization. Capital subsidy has not been released to its beneficiaries. There was a demand to re-implement this scheme for the next five years.
Made this request to PM Modi:
CM Dhami also requested the Prime Minister to expedite the Dehradun-Tehri Tunnel Project and Pantnagar Airport expansion works. Enthused by the Prime Minister’s stand regarding the state’s development, Dhami invited Narendra Modi to the International Investors Conference and said that the conference would be successfully completed under his guidance.
