Commissioner Garhwal Mandal Sushil Kumar took a meeting of anti-encroachment campaign, local arrangement committee regarding the proposed G-20 program in the month of May-June 2023 from his camp office.
In the meeting, Commissioner Garhwal Mandal took the meeting, marked the encroachments on the fixed travel route and instructed to take action to remove the encroachments. Also instructed to remove encroachments on the identified alternative route. He directed the officials of concerned departments like PWD, Telecom Corporation, Forest Department and Electricity Department to jointly mark the encroachments and take action to remove the encroachments. UPCL was asked to identify and shift the electric poles obstructing the traffic on the roads and direct them for shifting the cables while meeting with internet and cable operators. He directed the concerned District Magistrates to organize a coordination meeting for mutual coordination in the departments and asked them to complete the action/arrangements related to their respective departments on time. He instructed to complete the works of arrangement of vehicles, decoration, street lights etc. in time. He asked the District Magistrate Pauri to direct the concerned departments to take steps to fix the pedestrian path, make arrangements for parking, helipad etc.
In the meeting, DIG/Senior Superintendent of Police Dehradun Dalip Singh Kunwar, Additional Commissioner Garhwal Mandal Narendra Singh Quiral, Additional District Magistrate Finance and Revenue KK Mishra along with UPCL, officials of Jal Sansthan were present in the camp office and District Magistrate Tehri Sourav Gahwar through virtual medium. , District Magistrate Pauri Ashish Chauhan, Superintendent of Police Pauri Shweta Choubey, Chief Development Officer Tehri Manish Kumar, Chief Development Officer Pauri Arpuva Pandey, Deputy District Magistrate Rishikesh Nand Kumar and concerned officers remained connected in the meeting through virtual medium.
