A Congress delegation led by Leader of Opposition Yashpal Arya met Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami. The Chief Minister told the delegation that the state government has taken the Banbhulpura incident seriously and has taken immediate action to maintain law and order in the riot-hit area.

On Sunday, the Congress delegation met Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami at the Chief Minister’s residence. He discussed the Banbhulpura incident of Haldwani with the Chief Minister. Also demanded an impartial investigation into the matter. The Chief Minister told the delegation that Commissioner Kumaon has been instructed to conduct a magisterial inquiry into this incident.
