Country’s army and military our pride – Defense Minister Rajnath

The country’s Defense Minister Rajnath Singh celebrated Dussehra on Wednesday with the soldiers of Army, ITBP and BRO stationed at Mana West Camp and Auli, an army forward post along the Indo-China border in district Chamoli. While interacting with the army personnel, the Defense Minister also performed Shastra Puja in Auli.

Extending Dussehra greetings to the soldiers, the Defense Minister said that our brave soldiers have always made the heads of the countrymen proud with their indomitable courage, valor and sacrifice. In the security of the country, along with protecting the border, in times of natural calamity, our soldiers play a multi-dimensional role in taking people to a safe place and in dealing with internal security threats. Our soldiers perform their duty bravely despite adverse weather conditions in high altitude areas. He said that he is always proud to meet the soldiers of the army. Therefore, on the occasion of Dussehra festival, they have come here to share happiness with the soldiers.

While performing weapon worship with the soldiers in Auli, he said that India is the only country where weapons are worshiped along with the scriptures. The country’s army and para-military are our pride, our trust. Our country is safe because of our soldiers. India is counted among the best armies in the world. Army and ITBP personnel including Army Chief Manoj Pandey, Lt. Yogendra Dimri, L.J. P Mathew were present during the Shastra Puja.
After conducting an aerial survey of the forward posts of Manapas, the Defense Minister reached Badrinath Dham and prayed for the happiness and prosperity of the country by worshiping and worshiping Lord Badri Vishal. During this, he also greeted the devotees and the public. The temple committee and pilgrim priests welcomed the Defense Minister by presenting angavastra, tulsi garland and prasad in the temple premises.

During this, senior officers and soldiers of Army, ITBP, BRO including District Magistrate Himanshu Khurana, Superintendent of Police Shweta Choubey, ADM Dr.Abhishek Tripathi were present.
