The State Employees Joint Council has demanded that four percent pending installment of Dearness Allowance (DA Hike) should be allowed to the state employees like the central employees. Also demanded to take immediate decision to allow relaxation in promotions. The Council delegation met the Chief Minister at the Secretariat regarding various problems of the employees. The Chief Minister assured them that the installment of Dearness Allowance (DA Hike) would be approved within a day or two. The Chief Minister also said that in the upcoming cabinet meeting, a decision will be taken to implement the system of relaxation in promotions. On the other hand, the council delegation also met Additional Chief Secretary Finance Anand Vardhan.

According to the decision taken in the meeting held with the Council under the chairmanship of the Additional Chief Secretary, a demand was made to convene a meeting regarding allowing promotion pay scale on 10, 16 and 26 years of service under ACP.
