Vinod Chamoli and Dinesh Aggarwal, who were political rivals till now, were seen holding each other’s hands for the first time on Saturday. This was the first time that both of them campaigned for a candidate and sought votes. Let us tell you that there was once a political rivalry between Vinod Chamoli of BJP and Dinesh Agarwal of Congress on Dharampur assembly seat, but recently Agarwal left Congress and joined BJP. In such a situation, now Chamoli and Aggarwal are seen on one stage.
This is the first such opportunity in the political scene.
On Saturday, during the campaign of BJP candidate Trivendra Singh Rawat on Haridwar parliamentary seat, a campaign program was organized by Dharampur MLA Vinod Chamoli in Clementtown, Turner Road, Ogal Bhatta, Subhashnagar and Gupta Store areas in Dehradun. During this, Dinesh Aggarwal was seen walking with him. This was the first time in the political scene that Chamoli and Aggarwal were campaigning for the same candidate on the same platform. In the earlier elections, Chamoli was seen asking for votes for the BJP candidate while Aggarwal was seen asking for votes for the Congress candidate. Actually, Dinesh Aggarwal’s entire political life was associated with Congress background. He was also a cabinet minister in the Congress government in the state, but in the 2017 and 2022 assembly elections, he had to lose twice to BJP candidate Vinod Chamoli from Dharampur assembly seat.
Aggarwal joins BJP
Recently, in an unexpected development, Agarwal joined BJP, even though he was included in the list of star campaigners of Congress for the parliamentary election campaign. After joining BJP, on Saturday, for the first time, Aggarwal was seen holding the hand of his political rival Vinod Chamoli. Both of them campaigned on foot together. During this, Vinod Chamoli said that it is our job to convey to the public the message given by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on his recent arrival in Devbhoomi Rishikesh. The Prime Minister had said that my greetings and Ram-Ram have to be taken to every home. In the same sequence, the message was given by touring the entire area on foot and reaching every house.
BJP metropolitan convenor Mahesh Pandey said that during this time, all the area residents were appealed to vote in favor of BJP candidate and former Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat for Haridwar parliamentary seat.
