The budget for the financial year 2023-24 was presented in the Legislative Assembly on Wednesday, the third day of the Dhami government budget session. Finance Minister Premchand Aggarwal presented the annual budget at Vidhan Bhavan in Bharadisain.
77407.84 crore budget presented:
Finance Minister Prem Chand Aggarwal presented the budget for the financial year 2023-24 in the budget session organized in summer capital Gairsain. He presented a new budget of 77407.84 crores in the House. The Finance Minister said that every section has been taken care of in this budget. The focus has been on employment, investment and tourism in the budget.
Highlights of the budget:
1. A provision of one thousand crore has been made for the Joshimath landslide area in the budget.
2. A provision of Rs 26 crore 21 lakh has been made for the establishment of Science City and Science Centres.
3. A provision of 101 crores has been kept for Metro Rail in Dehradun.
4. Provision of free travel for gallantry award winners in the budget.
5. In the budget 2023, higher education scholarship will be given 10 crores. A provision has also been made to increase the honorarium of Anganwadi 6. workers.
7. Girl cycle scheme will continue. A provision of Rs 15 crore has been made for this.
8. Chief Minister Pratibha Protsahan Scholarship Scheme has been increased to Rs 11 crore.
9. Refreshment allowance of NCC cadets will be increased. The allowance has been increased from Rs 15 per plate to Rs 45 per plate.
10. Said that an ecosystem will be created so that the youth of the state will give jobs instead of seeking jobs. An effective policy will be made for this.
11. The Finance Minister said that through the schemes of the Center and the State, the focus will be on the inclusive development of the State. Efforts will be made to make the state strong.
Will give priority to balance in 12. ecology and economy. 0.5 percent of the capital expenditure will be given for climate change related works. Solar energy will be promoted. A provision of 100 crores will be made by the state government for the G20 event.

Six bills including anti-copying laid on the table of the House:
Some six bills including the Uttarakhand Competitive Examination (Measures for Prevention and Prevention of Unfair Means in Recruitment) were presented on the floor of the House on Tuesday. Now on Wednesday, after discussing all these bills, they were passed. The state government has taken steps towards enacting strict laws to prevent cheating in recruitment examinations.
