Five arrested including industrialist Sudhir Windlas in land grabbing case, also accused of occupying government land

admin December 23, 2023

CBI has arrested five people including industrialist Sudhir Windlass in the land grabbing case. Sudhir Windlass and other accused are accused of occupying nearby government and private land under the guise of a project. Four cases are registered against the accused. CBI can also arrest other accused named in these cases soon.
Four cases have been registered against industrialist Sudhir Windlass and his associates in Rajpur police station for occupying and fraudulently selling land. One of these cases was registered in the year 2018 and the remaining three in the year 2022. Durgesh Gautam resident of Rajpur had first complained against Sudhir to the police SIT (Land) in the year 2018. Durgesh alleged that Sudhir and his associates had encroached upon about one hectare of government land in Rajpur. There was also an allegation of collusion of some tehsil employees in this. After investigation by SIT, a case was registered against Sudhir and others on 14 February 2018 in Rajpur police station on charges of forgery.
After this, in the year 2022, Sanjay Singh Chaudhary, owner of Doon Paramedical College, alleged that Sudhir along with his staff had sold his land located in Johri village by making fake documents. It was also alleged that the land sale agreement was unilaterally terminated by submitting false certificates in the court. In this case, a case was registered in Rajpur police station on January 9, 2022. The third case against Sudhir was registered on January 13, 2022 on the complaint of retired Lieutenant Colonel Soban Singh Danu. In this case registered in Rajpur police station, Sudhir is accused of occupying the land allotted by the government to Soban Singh Danu in Johri village.
In this series, on January 25, 2022, a fourth case was registered in Rajpur police station on the complaint of Doon Paramedical College owner Sanjay Singh Chaudhary, in which along with Sudhir, his brother Pradeep Windlas was also made accused. In these cases, CBI was searching for Sudhir and his associates for a long time. On Thursday, five people including Sudhir and his associate Ravi Dayal were arrested.

If police did not take action, the cases were transferred to CBI.
The district police was investigating the cases registered against Sudhir Windlass in Rajpur police station. Meanwhile, complainant Sanjay Singh Chaudhary accused the police of not taking any action in the cases and urged the state government to get the cases investigated by the CBI. On this, on October 11, 2022, the government recommended the CBI to investigate all the cases registered against Sudhir Windlass. After this, all four cases were transferred to the anti-corruption branch of CBI, Dehradun.
