Seven officers and employees have been selected for the President’s Medal for distinguished and meritorious service in the police department. Additional Director General of Police, Crime and Law and Order AP Anshuman will be honored for his distinguished service. At the same time, Dehradun Senior Superintendent of Police Ajay Singh is also being given this honor for his commendable service. A total of four IPS officers of Uttarakhand cadre will receive the President’s Medal on Republic Day. The list of officers and employees selected from Uttarakhand for the President Police Medal on Republic Day has been released. A total of seven names including four IPS officers are included in this.
Inspector General of Police SDRF Ridhim Aggarwal, Senior Superintendent of Police Dehradun Ajay Singh, Senior Superintendent of Police Pauri Garhwal Shweta Choubey, Additional Sub Inspector Transport 46 PAC Surjeet Singh, Head Constable 31 PAC Laxman Singh and Fire on behalf of the President on Republic Day for their commendable service. Service driver Nainital Ganesh Singh has been selected. Keeping in mind the results and efforts made towards reducing crime and law and order in the state this year, Additional Director General of Police AP Anshuman will be honored by the President for his distinguished service.

On the occasion of Republic Day, the Uttarakhand Government has announced to award the Meritorious Service Award to Deputy Commander/Additional Superintendent of Police IRB II Dehradun Prakash Chandra on the basis of service.
Commendable work of Doon Police in robbery case
Senior Superintendent of Police Dehradun Ajay Singh had to face many challenges as soon as he took command of Doon. However, under the guidance of SSP, Doon Police did better work and achieved success in many major cases. The robbery at Reliance Jewels showroom was an open challenge to the police. In which, while busting the gang related to Bihar, the SSP along with the team went to Bihar and arrested the accused. Along with arresting the gang, Doon Police also exposed the robberies and robberies of jewelery showrooms in Gujarat, Maharashtra and West Bengal. Apart from this, Doon Police is also doing commendable work in curbing drug trade and fraud cases in the district.
