In such a situation, their craze is increasing more. In view of this, in the year 2023, the Central Government had issued guidelines to all the states regarding the Gaming Act. It was said that the states should take a decision on this according to the circumstances here.
Some states have implemented the Gaming Act
In order to the instructions of the Central Government, some states have implemented the Gaming Act here. Under this, the government there is issuing licenses to companies operating online games. Since online gaming is considered a means of entertainment, it attracts 28 percent GST. This has also benefited the governments issuing licenses. In the Gambling Act currently in force in the country and the state, games of skill, i.e. games of skills, have been excluded from the definition of gambling and it is not considered gambling. Now the Uttarakhand government, in view of this, is also taking steps towards making a Gaming Act in place of the Gambling Act applicable in the state.
The blueprint of the Gaming Act is being prepared

Along with this, it is also being clarified what will come under the purview of gaming and who will be taken under the purview of gambling.
